If you live in London, you must visit one of the coolest book shops in the world – Earl of East‘s (EE) BookWorkShop. EE is a lifestyle brand that offering homeware products, toiletries, fragrances, and other decorative items. BookWorkShop is located at one of London’s hip and modern shopping venues – Coal Drops Yard, right opposite the EE’s flagship store.
The store’s interior and setup are designed by Fred Rigby Studio with sustainability in mind, the entire shelving system is cleverly made of used scaffolds. On top of that, the store space is planned according to the COVID-19 safety guidelines that can not only accommodate a certain number of customers but also host functions and events.
The amazing selection of books includes design, architecture, culture, travel, and more. Indeed it also carries highly respected magazines such as Cereal, Kinfolk, Monocle, Fantastic Man, Milk Magazine, and other interesting titles by Gestalten.
Amid the global pandemic’s horrible impact on all aspects of life, EE went ahead to open a book shop. Its co-founder Paul Firmin is definitely one of the few who believes in the saying of “every disaster is an opportunity!” Mr. Firmin said, “We believe in physical retail now more than ever. Nothing beats seeing a book or magazine in real-life, discovering a new scent, or having a conversation with someone in-store.”
