Hotels had a really bad time during 2020. And honestly it’s clearly a year to forget. Specially for those whose travelling plans got cancelled. It was a terrible moment for everyone, but 2021 looks promising and we can’t wait to dust off our passports. With all the necessary precautions and health security measures, today we share with you the most anticipated hotel openings of this year.
The Rome Edition & The Tokyo Edition
It will be located in a historical building designed by Cesare Pascoletti and Marcello Piacentini, just a few steps from Via Veneto and Rome’s best attractions such as the Spanish Steps and Trevi FOuntain. The Rome Edition will offer a signature restaurant, a Rooftop Terrace with swimming pool and a Punch Room Bar.
Have you already seen Milan’s new boutique hotel, Palazzo Segreti?
The other big opening is The Tokyo Edition in Ginza, the second Edition in Japan after the Toranomon hotel. Located in the middle of the city’s shopping and entertainment center, the facility will host 78 guestrooms and suites, and a rooftop bar with amazing views.
Aman New York
Designed by architect Jean-Michel Gathy, the upcoming Aman New York will have a East-meets-West inspired decor. It will be the brand’s first urban hotel and it will be located at the heart of Manhattan in the Crown Building, once the Museum of Modern Art. It will host a Jazz Club, Wine Room and an outdoor Garden Terrace & Bar.
Rosewood Villa Magna, Madrid
Situated at the heart of Madrid, Rosewood Villa Magna will open its doors right on Paseo de la Castellana. Inspired by the city and its most precious attractions (like the Golden Triangle of Art and Serrano district), the accommodation will offer contemporary style and service for today’s travelers.
Artist Residence Bristol, United Kingdom
Built on a boot factory near Portland Square, The Artist Residence Bristol will become a 23 guest room facility. The yet-to-open hotel will show an eclectic, bohemian luxury design, although it will also maintain many features of the original building, such as industrial sliding doors and decor objects from the previous factory.
