The Spring/Summer season is full with releases and collaborations from all kinds of brands. During the past few weeks, we have covered several SS21 collections hitting the markets on these warm days: from Nilmance to Klättermusen, from Neighborhood to maharishi.
Today is time for a really young label, founded by renowned stylist Do Hee Kim. Yes, it’s XLIM, a South Korean brand that has caught the attention of many techwear afitionates since its inaugural collection Spring/Summer 2021 “EP.01” back in March.
Following the essence of its previous release, XLIM’s “EP.1 SYNOPSIS” is full of details 一among which we need to highlight its unique approach to color一. Silhouettes are the main character in the new capsule, which covers t-shirts, caps, shorts and vests. Earth tones lead the way: all items can be found in “Desert” and “Concrete” shades.
XLIM’s vests feature a distinctive chain pattern on both sides, which is also noticeable around the front-lower edge and around the neck on the back. Both the t-shirts and the caps have imprinted the brand’s name. Once again, while the color palette is monochromatic, all the attention goes to the textures and wash techniques used in the design.
Functionality, breathability and minimalism make up XLIM’s capsule DNA. We are very intrigued with XLIM’s firsts releases and we are much more excited about what to expect from the young label in the future.
According to XLIM’s Instagram posts, there will be a second drop and it’s scheduled for June 18 at 9am (EDT) or 9pm (GMT+9). Explore and shop the complete “EP.1 SYNOPSIS” capsule here.
