A-Cold-Wall* has unveiled a preview of its Pre-SS22 and SS22 collections, both clearly inspired by the pandemic’s repercussions. British designer and founder of the brand, Samuel Ross, has delivered an utilitarian and energetic collection, inspired in the local aesthetic.
The label’s upcoming collection serves bright and intense colors that according to the English designer reference the spirit of life that was held in question during the pandemic. We are talking about bold, primary colors such as different shades of green, yellow and orange. The customary darker palette is still present, offering a range of greys and black tones.
A-Cold-Wall* Spring/Summer 2022 collection is playful, youthful and vivid. Nevertheless, this uncommon approach does not put at risk the brand’s DNA which provides technicality, functionality and conceptuality with each look. According to Samuel Ross, this collection was all about connecting people with their garments, making them engage with each created piece.
There’s a sharp asymmetry together with clean cuts and meticulous fabrication that cannot be overlooked.
The SS22 collection provides vests, waist-height parkas and ponchos long to the floor. The looks are accompanied with extensive scarves, along with practical and functional tote bags, backpacks, sling bags and fanny-packs. Other few noticeable details are the reflective tape details and the oversized, debossed typography featured in several of the pieces.
Regarding the upcoming footwear, A-Cold-Wall* has opted for Italian craftsmanship and local fabrics like calf leather and suede. We can identify loafers, slip-ons and sandals styled in geometric shapes.
