When we say fashion is a reflection of current times, we mean Nanamica’s new delivery. The brand has surprised us with a sneak peak of its upcoming Fall/Winter 2021 collection. Inspired in the current worldwide pandemic context and thinking about what to expect from the future days, the Japanese label has revealed an emotional collection that references different scenarios from everyday life.
Nanamica’s collection features a total of four themes that are inspired by different routines and lifestyles. The first one is “Anytime Works”, which delivers timeless, ageless, genreless and genderless pieces: from classic pocket tees and sweatshirts to 90s inspired sweatsuits and coveralls.
Following is “Heading to the office”, a sustainable and comfortable alternative for those creatives working in the city: it incorporates premium, eco-friendly materials such as long-lasting recycled polyester and high-performance ZQ merino wool. We highlight the minimalist, lightweight mac coat, the oversized cargo pants and the baggy chinos.
A reflection of current times, “Home Office Wear” provides a selection of modern loungewear pieces such as turtlenecks, cardigans and t-shirts all made of KODENSHI fabric. Nanamica’s last theme goes under the concept of “The Wind, The Sun and The Sea” and it offers contemporary outerwear, including tailored jackets, windproof anoraks and mohair weatherproof sweaters. This time also incorporates the use of GORE-TEX fabric.
Nanamica genuinely focused on the wearer’s needs when designing this collection, prioritizing comfort, technicality and functionality. The color palette in this delivery is as usual very casual and seasonless: expect black, charcoal, brown and navy tones.
The label has yet to confirm a release date for its “Heart-warming Life-Tech wear” collection, but you can check Nanamica’s website to explore the current SS21 capsule. Take a look at what else is coming up by checking out Stone Island and UNDERCOVER’s Fall/Winter 2021 collections.
