As if it was a brushstroke into one’s eyes, Crosby Café in Dover Street Market Paris welcomes you to a cobalt blue experience. Dover Street Market Paris joined forces with Crosby Studios, founded in 2014 by artist and architect Harry Nuriev, to open up this new addition to its shop since last Saturday.
Crosby Café is going to work as a big, unconventional dining room to take a break from the routine, but it’s also fit to hold events, such as concerts and exhibitions. It is located in the foyer and terrace of the Hôtel de Coulanges, 35-37 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, 75004 Paris.
Referencing Crosby Studios’ signature aesthetic, the place emanates an eye-catching blue tone that spreads all around the furniture, which is moreover made of original pieces from the Studios’ Home collection.
When entering the premises, the customer is surprised by an unfinished building, like if he/she has interrupted an on-going renovation to immediately be shocked by a high-end design and unique approach. It’s a mixture of vintage and contemporary times.
The cobalt blue tone and modern furniture contrast with the historical 17th century mansion. The café faces the Jardin des Rosiers Joseph Migneret, which can be seen from the Hotel’s terrace. Regarding the food and beverage, they are provided by Rose Bakery and Ten Belles. And those are not the only things for sale: each piece of furniture is for sale too.
