Nothing has finally confirmed it will release its first-ever product on 27 July at 14:00 (BST). Established by Carl Pei, former founder of OnePlus, Nothing is a consumer tech startup that will make history by launching the first transparent, wireless and noise-cancelling earbuds.
The London-based company has had us on hold since March, when it released concept images of the Ear(1), a wireless pair of earbuds that featured a clean and minimalistic approach. But the futuristic design is not everything: the startup’s first product provides noise-cancellation features and great build quality.
Rather than designing technology that obstructs life, Nothing has committed to create smart tech that blends with people, giving birth to new experiences. Nothing’s philosophy is all about simplicity ㅡthe reason why the branding is kept to the minimum in the Ear(1)ㅡ and transparency, which showcase their commitment of narrowing the barriers between people and technology.
The Ear(1) are a result of a partnership with Teenage Engineering and they are meant to create a technological ecosystem fit for the user. According to the company the product will be released on their website only in selected countries and it will have a price of $99 USD, €99 EUR and £99 GBP.
Apparently this is not the only product the company has been working on, as there are two more to come. For sure we’ll be expecting them yearningly. While we wait, check out the future of smart e-vehicles. For more similar news, stay tuned with our design section.
