Inspired by the concept of “Disappear”, Y-3 unveils the first chapter of a sporty and functional Fall/Winter 2021 collection.
The crossover between Adidas and famous Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto has never stopped amazing us. Y-3 Sport has been a successful and on-point collaboration since 2002, flawlessly blending Adidas’ high-end technology and Yamamoto’s distinctive approach to sportswear.
Chapter 1 explores the crossing between city and nature, delivering camouflage-printed looks, as well as wind and waterproof outerwear. The brand’s iconic sporty aesthetic is of course present, although functionality has been taken to the next level, embracing weather blocking techniques and ergonomic patterns.
The protective gear features earth tones in different shades of green, black, blue and rust. We can also find an updated selection of the label’s signature footwear, including KAIWA, ORISAN, GR.1P and NOTOMA sneakers. There’s also a varied selection of accessories, from headwear to mobile adornments and bags.
It’s impossible not to highlight the impressive way the collection has been presented. Using 3D scanning technology, models and garments have been transported to a parallel digital reality which takes place in a virtual forest.
Take a closer look at the collection here, which is also available in selected stores and retailers. While you’re here, check out Veilance’s exclusive womenswear pre-launch.
