Salomon and Boris Bidjan Saberi’s iconic partnership dates back to 2017 and since then it has delivered coveted pairs among the sneaker community. Entering the second-half of this year, the labels have unveiled their latest collaboration, this time inviting a third party into their alliance: sneaker retail chain Foot Locker.
Inspired by skate culture, Salomon and 11 by BBS have delivered a diverse apparel and footwear capsule, which is available exclusively in Foot Locker’s Greenhouse app. Beside the sought-after sneakers, the collection features 9 statement pieces: a hoodie, a t-shirt, a jacket, pants, along with a variety of accessories.
It’s a harmonious combination of Salomon’s streetwear influence and Saberi’s celebration of nature, which results in balanced, functional gear. The cherry on the cake? Partnering with Project Greenhouse. Prices range from usd$35 to usd$400.
There’s a noticeable influence from nature too, visible through the use of Boris’ signature hand-dyed technique and a color palette that wanders between shades of blue and green. The collection is contemporary, utilitarian and built for uncompromising performance 24/7.
The German menswear designer has taken over Salomon’s Speedcross 5 by coming up with two footwear styles for this capsule: the Bamba 1 and the Bamba 2 Low. The first one has a more traditional approach and provides both grip and durability. While the second one, offers a more edgy, yet elegant functional style that resembles walking through a city rainstorm.
