Kiko Kostadinov’s name may sound familiar, not only due to his current homonymous label, but also because of his past working with footwear specialist ASICS and streetwear collective AFFIX. The thing is that Kostadinov has not forgotten his former experience, as he continues to deliver original, technical pieces now under the signature of his own brand.
Among its Fall/Winter 2021 collection, Kostadinov has released a variety of designs, all of which have already sold out, including the extravagant Freydal boots and NORMAN SHOE NIGHT TULIP. Yet not all designs are that flamboyant.
For its seasonal deliveries, Kiko also incorporated the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM LEVITRACK™ 001, 200 and 500 models, all part of a two-year special release project that celebrates the spirit of sport. The first two belong to the FW21 capsule, while the last one actually is part of the upcoming SS22 collection. Featuring GEL-QUANTUM technology in the soles and a SCUTOID gel shape for extra-cushioning, these launches truly honor Kostadinov’s technical past.

Another highlight in his current capsule, it’s the new Jehtra boots included in the FW21 collection. The Bulgarian designer really stepped up the game with this pair that arrives in the colorway “Dragonfly”, a combination of grey, black and green shades. Wavy details travel the boot all the way to the front through its sides.
A green leather section hugs the Jehtra boots, from the tongue and asymmetrical fastening straps to the ankle, featuring branding details too. As we said, all Kostadinov’s footwear designs are sold out for the moment, but the Jehtra boots in Dragonfly colorway are still available for about usd$750 in retailers, such as Dover Street Market.
