After almost two years of work, the BnA Hotels team inaugurated its fourth and latest location in Tokyo: the BnA_WALL. Half hotel, half art gallery, it is a totally different accommodation from what we’ve seen before. It’s not a hotel with artwork and it’s neither an art gallery where you can stay for the night.
It’s a hybrid, a one-of-a-kind experience that allows you to immerse in a new form of hospitality. The BnA_WALL is an interactive and shared space where guests and local artists meet.
It’s an experience based on creativity: a place to work, play, meet, create and enjoy life. There’s an authentic attention to detail and everything is carefully crafted, from floor to ceiling.
The BnA_WALL offers a café, a bar, a lounge area, as well as its two signature spaces: the WALL and the basement Factory. As you probably imagined, the WALL acts as a giant canva for local muralists to build an ever evolving piece of art and guests can enjoy that process with a coffee or drink in their hand.
Workshops and exhibitions are held down in the basement, which becomes an open space for imagination to spread. Each one of the 26 rooms becomes a personal, curated small-scale art gallery, where guests turn into patrons of art. In fact, part of the hotel’s profits goes to the artist who designed the room you stayed in.
BnA Hotels’ new building is located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. The other three flagships in Japan are situated in Akihabara, Koenji and Kyoto. From sci-fi fantasies and basketball courts to minimalist retreats and glamping-like rooms, you can choose from a variety of scenarios here.
