Back in June, Stone Island presented its Fall/Winter 2021-22 military-inspired collection “ICON IMAGERY”. The brand referenced the unmistakable military attire through the visual aesthetic 一mined with pockets一 as well as through the use of technical fabrics treatments.
Stone Island’s outerwear collection has now been updated with an enhanced version of its Modified Panama 6/3 HT Nylon jackets. It’s a consistent fabric with a modified Panama 6/3 weave that comes with high-tenacity twisted yarns and topped off with leather details.
The jackets have been manufactured using an experimental technique that mixes nylon and leather fabrics, which allows the pieces to be garment dyed. This results in a unique color presentation for each jacket, as the leather adopts a different tone and intensity in each piece.
In fact, the four Modified Panama jackets are featured in bold shades of rust, teal, mustard and fuschia.
On one hand, the TC Down jacket is made of resin-coated Nylon Metal Watro, tri-lobed nylon and Naslan Light Watro materials, which allow the item to be both wind and waterproof. The collar and top are constructed with enhanced Panama fabric, while the front hand pockets come with hidden snap closures.
The TC Gilet fuchsia jacket comes with a resin-coated nylon body and monochromatic knitted sleeves, which creates the illusion of a waistcoat. Moreover, this garment is manufactured using a blend of 70% recycled insulating fibers.
Stone Island’s Modified Panama 6/3 HT Nylon jackets range between the $653 USD (about €559 EUR) and the $2,744 USD (about €2,349 EUR). Check out the update collection on the brand’s website.
