English brand Maharishi and Italian label Fracap have re-joined forces to launch their second collaboration together: the upcoming 9667 Jungle boot.
It’s indeed not the first time these two brands have worked together. It was actually by this time of the year that in 2020 they launched the M120 hiking boot, a modern outtake on classic outdoor footwear and their first-ever collaboration.
The 9667 Maharishi x Fracap Jungle boot is inspired by the military footwear used by the US Army during the Vietnam War. In fact, Fracap’s popularity comes from their unparalleled heritage designing military collections for the Italian Army and Air Force.
Since 1908, the label has been a pioneer in outdoor footwear, and it has been known for its exquisite craftsmanship, attention to detail and superior construction.
The upcoming silhouette will feature a lightweight Vibram® Gum-Lite Commando sole unit, which provides grip and durable canvas. Contrary to what one may think, the boots still remain surprisingly lightweight.
Fracap developed this new design exclusively for Maharishi, using local, premium materials and working from its original factory in Northern Italy. The footwear is handcrafted using vegetable-dyed Italian leather and suede. The Jungle boot is then topped off with MILTYPE branding debossed on the tongue of the shoe.
According to the London-based brand, the upcoming Jungle boot will come in two colorways: a full monochrome black look, and a black and olive alternative. Both designs will cost about $494.00 USD.
The 9667 Jungle boot will hit Maharishi’s online store tomorrow, on Friday 5th at 11am. The new footwear will also be released at their physical stores in London and New York.
