Sustainable alternatives 一from electric cars to flying vehicles一 continue to rise every single day. On this occasion, it is time for Ascendance, a French start-up that is focusing on air traveling with its ATEA V-TOL aircraft.
The ATEA V-TOL aircraft is a hybrid vehicle with electric engine that has been envisioned for public transportation, emergency and surveillance services. In an attempt to decarbonize air travel, Ascendance joins the list of start-ups dabbling into electric transportation.
The aircraft will arrive with custom modular hybrid engines and two horizontal propellers, along with two separate propulsion systems that allow it to move vertically and horizontally, in both landing and take-off too.
So far, Ascendance’s state-of-the-art flying vehicle is nothing but a concept, yet the near future looks pretty good. The French company stated that the ATEA flying technologies will enter production by 2025, which is not as far as one may think in the first place.
Introducing Atea, a low noise, low carbon emissions VTOL aircraft based on Sterna, our unique hybrid propulsion technology. Fly quieter, cleaner, further.
The ATEA V-TOL aircraft took three years of research and development, featuring a polished, bold design able to fit up to 5 passengers. The flying vehicle will be able to travel up to 250 miles (about 400 km).
In comparison to other conventional aircrafts, it will cut its carbon emissions by 80% and it will also cut noise pollution by four times. In similar news, another E-VTOL you can check out is the Jetson One.
